Snorkeling

Snorkelling on Anse Chastanet Reef Some of the best snorkeling in St.Lucia and the Caribbean can be found in front of the Anse Chastanet beach. The Anse Chastanet reef has been recognized as one of the best snorkeling and beach diving locations in the Caribbean.

The Anse Chastanet Reef is conveniently located right in front of the dive center with easy access from shore. The reef has been buoyed off for snorkeling safety thus allowing no boats in the snorkel area. The reef has a plateau area with depths between 5 and 25 feet. At the end of this plateau, the reef falls away from 20 to 140 feet in a solid wall of mixed corals and a variety of fish life.

The reef is a favorite of professional underwater photographers and videographers who visit Scuba St. Lucia. As you enter the water you are immediately greeted by a big school of Sergeant Majors. The reef is alive with Parrot Fish, Trumpet Fish, Needle Fish and many more.

The shallow reefs allow even the beginner snorkeler to enjoy the Anse Chastanet Reef.
