Scuba St. Lucia is a PADI Five Star Dive Resort as well as a Universal Referral Center. Scuba St. Lucia has a tradition of offering qualified and exceptionally friendly services. We offer training courses from course from Discover Scuba Diving to Assistant Instructor. As St. Lucia’s original PADI Diving Facility founded in 1982, we have an international staff with more than 45,000 dives and 125 years of diving experience. One PADI Course Director calls us: “The best training site in the world”. Our dive staff at Scuba St. Lucia consists of truly gifted individuals. Our facility policy requires each new diver to complete an orientation dive and skill review on our house reef and all our dives are lead by experienced Divemasters and Instructors. Scuba St Lucia received the THE PADI GREEN STAR™ DIVE CENTER AWARD in 2016.
Scuba St. Lucia has had a close, long and beneficial relationship with the Divers Alert Network (DAN). Furthermore, we have maintained an outstanding safety record throughout continuous operations spanning over three decades.
Miss Bertha
We currently operate four dive boats: Miss Ta Ta, Miss Ina, Miss Bertha and Miss Babsie. Miss Ina and Miss Bertha are powered by twin Mercury Verado 300 hp 4-stroke engines which are ecologically friendly and very quiet for the enjoyment of our guests. Miss Ta Ta appears to be similar to our other boats in the fleet, but is our newest member and is powered by a Yanmar inboard diesel engine – making for one sleek looking dive boat! Our boats are all equipped with fresh drinking water, all safety equipment including 2 way radios and cellular phones, first aid kits, flares, fire extinguishers, dive flags and a DAN Oxygen unit.
Miss Babsie
Our newest dive boat Miss Babsie was custom built in the Dominican Republic by AventuraBoats and designed by the french architect, Luc Guessard. It is a 42 foot Arawak double deck catamaran with 2 x 350HP Mercury engines and a capacity for 30 divers and 60 scuba tanks. There are three diving ladders for easy entry and exit. Two ladders are mounted on the swimming platform at the rear and the third is located on the starboard side of the boat.
The top deck has an open space where the captain’s console is located. There are two heads with electric toilets and a sink with a modern water pressure system. All of our dive boats are named after team members who contributed to the success of our resort and dive operation.
Workshop
All our scuba equipment is serviced and maintained by trained technicians. This same service is available to all our clients who would need assistance with their own equipment.
Compressors
Our filling station is a BAUER SECURUS AIR SYSTEM and recently we’ve added a NUVAIR NITROX MEMBRANE SYSTEM to our operation. This is the first and only filtration system of its kind in St. Lucia providing our clients the purest air quality available in the industry. We currently have two BAUER K14 and one BAUER K15 compressor units supplying close to 40 cfpm.
Scuba Tanks
We have over 300 Aluminum scuba tanks in 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 cu.ft. sizes. All our tanks are tested and serviced on a regular basis in accordance with PADI standards to ensure top quality and safety for all our clients. At Scuba St. Lucia we have Nitrox32 and Jumbo tanks for rental. We offer 80cf/11.1ltr & 100cf/15ltr tanks with pro DIN/Yoke convertible valves.
Our tanks are fitted with DIN valves which feature an enclosed O-ring protecting it rather than the yoke design that has an exposed ring. Many consider this design safer overall, they are often used in professional, commercial and technical diving industries. We have also added vindicator valves showing if a tank is open or closed. They can be used for DIN and Yoke also.

Equipment Rental
The rental facility is fully equipped with the latest scuba gear. We rent Scuba Pro MK2 regulators with an Octopus, low pressure inflator, depth and pressure gauge, BCD’s from Seaquest/Aqualung and 3mm shorty wetsuits. We also offer Cressi & Sunnto dive computer rentals.
All our rental gear is serviced on a regular basis to ensure top quality and safety. Our facility is equipped with four large freshwater rinse tanks with disinfectant and all our gear is washed after each use.
Photo and Video
At Scuba St. Lucia we offer various Photo and Video services to our guests. Our services include camera rentals for snorkelers and divers. This ranges from simple point and shoot set ups to more sophisticated setups with flash, lighting and/or wide angle lens adaptor. Scuba St. Lucia offers coaching and certification classes for divers who would like to learn how to improve their photo and/or video footage.
On special request the staff will also go out with you and photograph and video your diving / snorkeling experience , which on your return will be edit to music for you to take home and share with your friends and family.
